August 4 - THOROLD, ON -  The 5th Annual Mountainview LemonAID Day for FACS Niagara brought families, businesses, and communities across the region together once again, raising an incredible $93,988 to help children in FACS Niagara’s care have the opportunity to experience summer camp.

On Saturday, June 13, lemonade stands popped up across Niagara as young LemonAiders rolled up their sleeves, poured glasses of lemonade, and encouraged their neighbours to support a cause that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of local children.

The concept behind LemonAID Day is simple: children helping children. Families and young fundraisers register their own lemonade stands, set fundraising goals, and collect donations from their friends, family, and community. Every cup sold and every donation made helps provide children supported by FACS Niagara with the opportunity to attend summer camp.

And the impact goes far beyond a glass of lemonade.

For children who may not otherwise have the opportunity to attend camp, these experiences can provide a chance to make friends, build confidence, develop new skills, and simply enjoy being a kid. Funds raised through LemonAID Day support both weeklong day camps and overnight camp experiences.

For Mountainview Building Group, being part of LemonAID Day is about more than sponsorship. It’s about helping create opportunities for local children and encouraging the next generation to discover the impact they can make in their own communities.

We’re incredibly proud of every LemonAider, family, business, volunteer, donor, and community member who helped make this year’s campaign such a success.
